We asked Kenyans, through an online poll we ran in December, to submit a name of an international YouTube channel they consider the best car YouTube channel internationally for 2023. We compiled the names we received and how many submissions each name got to see which will emerge as the best. We then came up with a chart of the 5 best international car YouTube channels.
Here are details of the top five:
5) TheStraightPipes
At no.5 is TheStraightPipes, an automotive YouTube channel of car enthusiasts Jakub Wrobel and Yuri Tereshyn. The duo reviews and test drives all manner of cars across United States and Canada; from common sedans to luxury cars and even supercars. They also do comparisons between different car models and between old and new versions of the same car. Checkout their content here.

4) Doug DeMuro
At no. 4 is Doug DeMuro. On top of being a YouTuber, DeMuro is also an author and tech entrepreneur. In his channel, he mainly reviews cars. Before venturing to reviewing cars on YouTube, DeMuro was a writer and editor of a car blog called Oversteer. DeMuro also runs the automobile selling website Cars & Bids where individuals buy cars through bidding. Checkout his content here.
3) Jay Leno’s Garage
After retiring from hosting The Tonight Show, comedian Jay Leno started Jay Leno’s Garage, a car show where he reviews classics. The show originally ran in NBC for seven seasons before being cancelled. This did not, however, mean the end of the show as it has an active YouTube channel where he continues to talk about classics, project cars and super cars in his classic wit and humour. 2) Supercar Blondie
Alexandra Mary Hirschi, known online as Supercar Blondie is an Australian celebrity and YouTuber residing in Dubai. Her passion for cars saw her launch the Supercar Blondie brand which consists of both a YouTube channel and social media pages. She regards her videos as more of a look at the supercar culture than serious automotive reviews. Check out her content here.

1) carwow
Carwow is an online car marketplace based in London, UK. Its YouTube channel, hosted by Mat Watson, has become the go-to place for reviews of all types of cars making it highly popular the world over, including Kenya. So popular has the channel become that it is spawning new sister channels such as carwow América Latina for Spanish speakers and carwow.de for German speakers. Check out their content here.
