Most of the second hand cars we import in Kenya come from Japan. With this comes the headache of having to work with a system such as navigation or radio set in Japanese. Here is how to change your car’s language to English:

- Switch off your car and switch it back on: This will have the effect of switching off your car’s navigation too. When you switch it back on, you will see the option of changing language to English.
- Change language settings in system menu: To do this, you will need Google Translate app on your phone. Use it to navigate the menu that is still in Japanese and find language settings. Change it to English.
- Look for language DVD: If none of those two above work for you, your system is probably DVD-based. In this case, the solution is to look for an English language DVD for your car and use it to install English language. There are several technicians that offer this service, request for one here.
