A head-on collision accident between a Toyota Probox and a lorry killed 6 people in the Duka Moja area along the Kericho – Nakuru highway on Monday evening.
All of the dead were said to be passengers and the driver of the Probox. One critically injured passenger was rushed to Kericho County Referral Hospital for treatment.
According to reports, the driver of the Probox heading to Nakuru from kericho was overtaking a fleet of vehicles when it collided with the lorry.
The 7:30 pm accident was so severe the Probox was split in two. The police and members of the public had to spend quite a bit of time to remove the wreckage of the car from the lorry to enable them remove bodies of the dead.
A few hours after this accident, a van collided with a lorry near Ngata bridge outside Nakuru town killing 8 people.
