A head-on collision between a bus belonging to Climax and tuk tuk on Friday night along the Awero-Awasi road in Kisumu county killed 4 people, all passengers of the tuk tuk. According to a police report, the bus was overtaking a stalled truck when it collided with the tuk tuk dragging it underneath for at least 60metres.
This latest accident comes in the heels of another accident in the same county involving a Tahmeed bus and an oil tanker that claimed 2 lives. In less than a month, the county has recorded more than 30 fatalities from road crashes. Most of the crashes have been attributed to dangerous driving by PSV drivers.
