In the same evening 11 KU students died in a horrific road accident in Voi, a 14-seater matatu from Bomet Travellers lost control on a steep slope and rammed into a tractor killing 5 people and injuring 18 others. The accident happened in Kimugul area along the Olenguruone-Silibwet road in Bomet County.
According to eye witnesses, the tractor was heading to Olenguruone town at around 4pm when the accident happened. The injured are receiving treatment at Tenwek Hospital while the bodies of the dead were moved to the morgue of the same hospital.
Police announced they have launched investigations.
